While checking anchor bolts,what are the important points to be taken care?
1.Bottom Of Base plate elevation to be finalized from design drawings 2.If we use plate washers ,We need to follow over sized holes in base plate i.e for example: if we use 3/4" Ø anchor rod,Hole dia should be 1 5/16"Ø. 3.Plate washers sizes should be followed for AISC 14.2 table. for 3/4"Ø anchor rod , we will follow plate washer size as 1/4"X2X0'-2". 4.Plate washers is used to cover the over sized holes. 5.If design drawing does not furnish levelling method pattern then we need send to rfi on levelling method,Mostly we will use levelling nut or levelling plate arrangement. we will use levelling plate thickness as 1/4" and we will match plate parameters to base plate size. 6.
